My circumstances:
Myself and my Husband got ourselves into 50K of debt over the period of 6 years. This was due to having children, and circumstances changing considerably. We always thought to ourselves "Its ok, we pay for it with the Credit Cards/Loan/Catalogue now, and then well catch up when Mum returns to work.". However, we soon realised that we couldt catch up, and were taking out more and more debt, just to make payments on the old debts.<br> We wish we had known/acted earlier on the IVA front. Its been such a relief to know there is a way of still paying back some of our responsibilities, but not get the letters and phone calls that were making us both ill.<br>
My interaction with the company:
The Debt People were/are, so easy to talk to. We werent made to feel guilty, or ashamed by our debt, and were given advice on every option we had. They were available to us any time of day, whatever the question, and actually treated us like people instead of case numbers. The paperwork was easy to understand, and they explained everything clearly, no jargon. We were helped to understand every step of the process.
Why I gave the ratings I did:
I have genuinely rated them 10/10 on every aspect. I cant fault them. They are always available. Always helpful. And I have total trust in them to see us through the next 5 years.
One thing they did - which really impressed me:
What really impressed us, was the way that we were treated as individuals. Our case was worked around us and our circumstances, what worked for us, and what was best for us in the long run.

    Good Points
    Very informative with lots of useful information. A lot of reviews on firms that really help understand their customer service and ability. The reviews appear to be genuine as they offer interesting insights. Didn't really use the the map but looks impressive!
    Bad Points
    The site is a bit cluttered and sometimes hard to navigate around.
    General Comments
    A useful site that is free to use and full of useful information about IVAs. If you are thinking of doing an IVA then this is a must use site.
