My circumstances:
I found myself living alone for the first time at the age of 25 with 20k worth of debt. After working 2 jobs for six months I gave clearstart a call to seek help with coming to an arrangement with my creditors. I had no intention of trying to offload any of MY debt.

| My interaction with
the company: |
After being passed to HW for an IVA things went really quickly, and now 2 years down the line I would give anything to go back and think the whole thing through, spend time reading through websites such as this and decide properly whether an IVA was the best solution.

Why I gave the ratings I did:
I rated them 6/10 beacause a) they scare the life out of me still and b) they have twice wrote and told me that I owe them 400 pund due to missed payments, which was not true.

One thing they did - which I felt could be improved:
At my last review I sent them my three latest wage slips and my p60, they then wrote back to me a few weeks later to ask for the last 12 payslips as well!! It just seems like unnecessary grief to me.

Other points
I am two years in right now and struggling to make ends meet. I still find life without a debit card really difficult, especially after giving up my car and living 10 miles away from my neares useable cashpoint :-) All in all though, despite my moaning I am in a better position than I would have been otherwise, I just pray the next 34 months fly by (or I win a lotto jackpot!!)
