| My circumstances: |
| I am self employed & my husband is the major wage earner. We have 2 children and debts of approx £24,000 back in January 2011. Our payments were more than our outgoings and were struggling. We thought the IVA would be the correct solution to our situation. We were getting credit to pay off credit, but it got out of hand when I went self employed. |

| We were initially happy with their help & although my earnings were very little, it seemed the only option available to us. We didnt want to got for bankruptcy, but wanted to pay off our debts properly.<br> <br> 18 months later & are extremely unhappy with Freeman Jones. The 6 monthly expenditure sheets are not practical for our situation as our outgoings and earnings vary from month to month. Despite numerous explanations to Freeman Jones about this, our problems are ignored. We are paying more monthly for our IVA that we can afford and now we feel we have been missold an IVA. A debt management plan would have been more logical for our situation, but no one is willing to help us at Freeman Jones |

| I rated them 1 out of 10 as we are extremely unhappy with the way we have been treated from Freeman Jones. Lack of call backs (they promise) and no interest when we explain we have no money to feed and clothe our family - Make sure you research more before chosing an IVA. I wish we had |

| We are 18 months into our IVA and regretting the day we signed up. We struggle to pay for food and clothing for our kids and receive no support from Freeman Jones at all.<br> <br> By the end of our 5 years, we will have paid off £20,000 of the the £24,000 debt, which means we have just saved paying the interest. Definitely not worth the sleepless nights and stress from the IVA. We feel we were mis sold our IVA plan as we were in a "vulnerable" state when we looked at alternatives. Make sure you check all avenues before entering into an IVA - Its been the worst decision of our lives |

| Comment: I had the same problem too . I took out IvA with freeman jones in feb 2008 my IvA should end 2013 feb . I received a letter after complaint only to tell me am in arrears over 5,000 and to continue for another 17 month. Yes! I could provide letter. It the worst thing I have ever don't in my life. | ||
