| My circumstances: |
I was single when I got into debt. I had just gone through an expensive divorce and had to buy a new home. I was trying to keep the kids happy with days out and treats etc.
I paid for most things on my Visa cards and the interest kept building up. I wanted to get a £1000 loan from the bank but they advised me that £5000 would be cheaper as the interest rate was lower, that didnt help.
I ended up with just over £40.000 debts.
I am now into my second year paying an IVA and have just applied for early completion using an IVA release company called Jefferson Hobbs who are based near Hull and they have been very good.
If all goes well I could be clear of my IVA in approx 5 weeks. |

| I found dealing with Debt Free Direct very good. They were very professional and they knew their products very well. The only down side was that you very rarely spoke to the same person more than twice so you had to explain yourself over and over again to different members of staff. |

| Why I gave the ratings I did: |
| I thought they handled my situation very well and have kept me from getting into a lot worse mess than what I was already in. I could have taken the easy option and gone bancrupt but I would have lost my house by doing so, which DFD explained to me. |

| They should appoint one person to deal with one case so you can have continuity. |

| Other points |
I have learnt to manage my finances better. Not to go out and buy on credit just because you can.
I am paying £449 a month which was a lot less that what I was paying with all my debts added together.
I believe that I have had about 75% of my debt written off if I can settle with this present offer going through.
I am now in a much better and wiser postion to look after my finacies thanks to DFD nad Jefferson Hobbs |
