My circumstances:
Had to retire through ill health so only husband was working. Had a substantial amount of debt and owned our property.
My interaction with the company:
We were originally with Synergi until about 4 months ago when they were taken over by Clear Debt and thank goodness to get someone who knew what they were doing. Synergi were a terrible company and never kept us informed of anything.
Why I gave the ratings I did:
Clear Debt are a fantastic company and I would highly recommend them to anyone. We were kept informed of all things related to our IVA and emails were responded to very promptly, we also received a lot of updates by phone thanks to Adrian Radford who is such an excellent, competent, pleasant and extremely member of the company. Adrian was a pleasure to talk to and made the process so much smoother. We have just finshed our IVA and cant thank Adrian enough for all his help.
One thing they did - which really impressed me:
As I have said above everything they done for us was performed to the best of their ability. If only all companies trained their staff as well we would be under less stress. The first 4 years with Synergi managing the IVA were very stressful, but when ClearDebt took over a lot of the stress went away.
One thing they did - which I felt could be improved:
The only thing I can find fault with is the fact that we NEVER once spoke to the Supervisor David Mond. It would have been nice of him to introduce himself to us when he took over. 
Other points
The IVA is now finished, thankfully. The main thing I have learnt is definitely no more credit cards or loans as it isnt worth it having to cope with the stress. Its much too easy to forget when to stop spending. We paid 24p in the £ and wrote off about 52k. We were meant to remortgage our house and give them 27k but because of the IVA no company would entertain us. The creditors endede up accepting 10k instead!

    Good Points
    Very informative with lots of useful information. A lot of reviews on firms that really help understand their customer service and ability. The reviews appear to be genuine as they offer interesting insights. Didn't really use the the map but looks impressive!
    Bad Points
    The site is a bit cluttered and sometimes hard to navigate around.
    General Comments
    A useful site that is free to use and full of useful information about IVAs. If you are thinking of doing an IVA then this is a must use site.
