| My circumstances: |
| I am a company director, I had 50k debt with 70k equity. I was told that a one year IVA would be best for me - this was bad advise as the cost to complete the IVA by maintaining it over that period and the cost to borrow to pay the debt was not cost effective. The other problem was the demage to my credit rating, I was encouraged to default on debts. The worse thing I ever did was go the IVA route, I never fully grasped the downsides,I am still trying to get the whole mess sorted out.<br> <br> IVA.com reports: Debt Free Direct has contacted this individual via Iva.com to discuss their comments. | I rang, the told me to go IVA straight away. As I was desperate to get my financial problems sorted out I wnt with that advise. On signing up, the whole process drtagged on, I was forever chasing things. For me, the whole process was poor. |

| advise, I mean, a one year IVA - I was stupid, my creditors even told me not to do it. I advised this to DFD - the told me to pass any queris from creditors to them. |

| I have borrowed the 50k - on a high rate and on an interest only basis until I feel I can sell my house.<br> On selling my house I will pay off that loan, downsize and take a view that I made a huge mistake.<br> <br> |
