My circumstances:
I was in a joint IVA with my husband. We had over £40k of debt. No property. We both work full time but got into debt due to serious illness.
My interaction with the company:
I was forwarded to debt lifeboat by CCCS wo xplained everything to me. I filled in the forms and after a couple of creditors meetings it was accepted. I signed the paperwork and it all went ahead. Every year we filled out another form and sent copies of bills and P60 etc and any necessary alterations in payments were arranged.
Why I gave the ratings I did:
I gave good ratings because the company were very helpful and everything was quite straightforward.
One thing they did - which really impressed me:
We had probelms with our car once that needed expensive repairs and my husband was ill at the time so we took a 1 month payment holiday which we paid back over the next year. This was very helpful in ensuring the IVA was completed and didnt fail.

Other points
We have just completed our IVA(1st August 2010) and are looking forward to a certificate saying it is completed. We have learnt a lot about money management over the last 5 years and feel much more confident that we will be able to cope in the future.

    Good Points
    Very informative with lots of useful information. A lot of reviews on firms that really help understand their customer service and ability. The reviews appear to be genuine as they offer interesting insights. Didn't really use the the map but looks impressive!
    Bad Points
    The site is a bit cluttered and sometimes hard to navigate around.
    General Comments
    A useful site that is free to use and full of useful information about IVAs. If you are thinking of doing an IVA then this is a must use site.
