|I got into debt by looking after my mother, she was ill and had a bad partner so I used to lend her money then I couldnt afford to pay it back. I had to pay for her funeral on my credit card. By the time I contacted cleardebt I owed £85k.|
|My interaction with the company:|
|Because I was in such a mess and needed to get something sorted Jonathan suggested I go on to a debt management first to get something sorted asap whilst we get together the paperwork needed for the iva. I was on the debt plan about about 3 months then they just switched me over.|
|Why I gave the ratings I did:|
|I was and still am always treated as a person and not just someone that makes them money. Every person Ive dealt with knows my case and has been very friendly and caring.|
|One thing they did - which really impressed me:|
|I was concerned when one girl left who had been dealing with my case and another girl took over - Kim. I shouldnt have been Kim has been as fantastic as the last girl and has been able to answer any query I have had straight away.|
|One thing they did - which I felt could be improved:|
|The only thing I can think of is when I was told to wait by the phone to hear if my IVA had been approved but no one called, I called two days later to check everything was ok and was told yes it had gone through. With such an important thing there was a lack in communication somewhere.|
|I am paying a good lump a month over £500 and it is hard but what do I expect. My dividend is 35% with a remortgage in year 5 if I can, if not then another year of payments because of Northern Rock. I keep thinking to the future and about how rich Im going to feel when Ive finished it!|
