My circumstances:
My income (self employed) fell away dramatically as the Credit Crunch took hold and having sold my house and paid as many creditors as possible, I was still carrying around £200,000 of debt and had two CCJ actions against me.<br>
My interaction with the company:
Following a series of discussions my two main options were bankruptcy or an I.V.A. I chose the latter as I have a regular income, due to securing a new contract, personal pride and believe I can service the proposed arrangement that Cleardebt secured for me at the creditor meeting.
Why I gave the ratings I did:
I have rated this company highly because they helped me through a very stressful period, especially when we were being threatened by debt collectors and they communicated fully with us and the third parties involved in that process and helped us avoid any confrontation.
One thing they did - which really impressed me:
I found one of their representatives, Adam preston, was particular willing to put himself out for me and guided me through what seemed an impossible journey. He gave me his direct number and really supported me and my family during some anxious periods, clearly knowing the business and achieved an affordable conclusion for me.

Other points
Cleardebt achieved a 24p in the pound settlement for me, which effectively will save me around £150,000 over 5 years. I should add, ther is no way I could ever clear the whole balance and this settlement has at least given me the spirit to fight on through tough times.

    Good Points
    Very informative with lots of useful information. A lot of reviews on firms that really help understand their customer service and ability. The reviews appear to be genuine as they offer interesting insights. Didn't really use the the map but looks impressive!
    Bad Points
    The site is a bit cluttered and sometimes hard to navigate around.
    General Comments
    A useful site that is free to use and full of useful information about IVAs. If you are thinking of doing an IVA then this is a must use site.
