My circumstances:
We are a married couple in our thirties, 90k of debt, with 30k of equity in our property. We are both educated, hardworking people but became too reliant on credit, and ended up robbing Peter to pay Paul. We found we began using credit due to the additional expense of having 3 children, and the loss of one income. We also carried on with our lifestyle as before, even though we had less money coming in.
My interaction with the company:
The IVA Bureau were always very helpful and knowledgeable. Our proposal took longer than usual due to a family debt which caused a few problems, but otherwise they were very quick off the mark, and keen to help. They discussed all the other options and I trusted their advice on all matters. We felt much better after talking to them, and realised that we were not the only people in this situation.
Why I gave the ratings I did:
Because their service was faultless, and I would not hesitate in recommending them to friends or family if the need arose. Many Thanks to Angela, Melanie, Tom and Sue for their help and advice.
One thing they did - which really impressed me:
They worked very hard at getting the monthly budget planner just right, in making sure that we had enough to live on, which is after all the most important part!
One thing they did - which I felt could be improved:
The administration at the beginning of the process seemed to take a lot of time.
Other points
We have only just begun our IVA, so time will tell. We are certainly looking forward to the future, and managing without credit. We hope to never have a credit card ever again, as long as we live! Our IVA was extended to 72 months at the Chairmans meeting, although we felt this was fair in the circumstances. Our dividend was agreed at 24p in the £, but we do have an equity clause, in year 5, so not sure how much they will get back from that. Hopefully we have learnt our lesson, and can move forward in the knowledge that we will be debt free at the end of the process.

    Good Points
Very informative with lots of useful information. A lot of reviews on firms that really help understand their customer service and ability. The reviews appear to be genuine as they offer interesting insights. Didn't really use the the map but looks impressive!
    Bad Points
The site is a bit cluttered and sometimes hard to navigate around.
    General Comments
A useful site that is free to use and full of useful information about IVAs. If you are thinking of doing an IVA then this is a must use site.
